Inside Hardeman County Correctional Facility, individuals currently incarcerated are preparing for a future beyond the walls. They need mentors — not experts, just steady people willing to show up. That could be you.
The Volunteer Mentorship Initiative is an initiative of the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative, in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Correction and HopeWorks.
We are recruiting men who will go into the prison with us one evening each month to mentor an inmate 1:1.
Qualifications: men, 25 years old or older, must be a resident of Tennessee within 60 miles of the facility.
Visits take place either the 1st Tuesday or 3rd Wednesday of each month (mentor's choice) from 5-7:30.
